This 700 kW solar array was installed in September of 2016 atop the Golden 1 Center, the world’s first LEED Platinum indoor arena and home of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings. This rooftop array, in conjunction with the Rancho Seco solar array located in Herald, CA, will supply the stadium with 100% of its electricity demands. Golden 1 Center is expected to be the first indoor arena in the world to receive its entire power supply from solar energy sourced within 50 miles of the facility. This rooftop system utilizes SPI solar modules, SunGrow inverters, and AET racking.
