Operations Analyst – AES Distributed Energy is seeking an Asset Operations Analyst to support its growing portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) throughout the U.S. The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end energy billing and settlement process for the operating portfolio, facilitate enhancements of the billing process resulting in a more complete utilization of SAP, and manage the accounts receivable process data entry, validation, and maintenance of DE Operation’s applications/tools supporting other AES DE groups (accounting, treasury, etc.) as needed. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to analyse and organize information, develop capabilities, and improve processes. Field Services Manager – AES Distributed Energy (DE) is seeking a Field Services Manager to support its expanding field services team and growing portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery energy storage (BESS) facilities throughout the U.S. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting a distributed team of Electrical Operations Technicians, initially focused in MA, RI and HI, planning, coordinating and managing the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of field services to AES DE facilities. And working closely with the AES DE Asset Managers to re-mediate site issues and enhance the operating portfolio’s performance. This position will ensure field services reports are delivered in a timely and high-quality manner.The successful candidate will have a depth of experience in the operation and maintenance of commercial/utility scale PV solar systems.  This position will be based at AES DE’s headquarters in Louisville, CO.  Travel is expected to be 20-30% across the regions served in the U.S. Apply here. 

Senior HR Analyst – The Senior HR Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful operation of our HR processes and tools in order to provide the best HR experience possible to AES people and leaders. As a key member of the HR team, the Senior HR Analyst will leverage analytical skills, critical thinking and judgment, and strong solutions focus to gather and process qualitative and quantitative information which will help to identify process pain points and resolve them expeditiously, while also providing critical insights and input to sustainable process enhancements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leverage analytics to monitor adoption of existing and new system functionality; recommend and implement solutions (process, tools, training) to improve efficiency and effectiveness of HR process and promote the adoption HR system features, including employee- and manager-self service
  • Coordinate with multiple functional areas (recruiting, hiring manager, digital team, etc.) to ensure pre-onboarding activities are completed in a timely and smooth manner and complete first day onboarding activities for responsible areas.
  • Assist employees with first day questions, issues, paperwork, and enrollment.
  • Research timecard and payroll questions, resolve or redirect as necessary
  • Escalate Time and Labor Management system issues to appropriate parties, and follow up to ensure sustainable resolutions are introduced
  • Help improve payroll accuracy (multi-state payroll on a bi-weekly basis) by ensuring root cause analysis is complete and sustainable solutions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Provide local HR leadership in select talent programs, including but not limited to interns, co-ops and management trainees
  • Perform analysis on an ad hoc basis, as requested by leaders and HR Business Partners 
  • Maintain HR data integrity by ensuring data input is accurate and consistent. Audit people data and troubleshoot and correct irregularities. Support data governance processes
  • Partner with HR and Payroll on system upgrades and analyses
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Talent Management, and HR Technology Centers of Expertise to streamline and improve internal processes.

Community Relations Manager, Hawaii Renewables – AES Distributed Energy is currently seeking a Community Relations Manager to assist project development and permitting efforts in Hawaii as a member of AES DE’s Greenfield Business Development team. The Greenfield team is tasked with internal self-origination and development of solar and solar + storage projects up to construction commencement. 

The successful candidate will lead and manage community relations as the face of AES DE for its existing and future pipeline of projects in Hawaii, which includes utility scale solar + storage projects on Kaua’i, O’ahu, Maui, and Big Island, both in operation, under construction, and in development. The candidate will also be able to communicate effectively and advocate to social organizations, government officials, public and private institutions, regulatory agencies, and educational institutions, while representing AES DE in Hawaii. Solar Development Engineer  – AES Distributed Energy is seeking a Development Engineer to drive solar PV and integrated battery energy storage system (BESS) project development across the US and internationally, with the goal of increasing our portfolio of owner-operated commercial, industrial, and utility scale PV and storage systems. The Development Engineer will work with a team to qualify new solar and battery storage project opportunities, perform technical due diligence on project practicality, and respond to RFP’s from utilities, municipalities, and others for the procurement of renewable energy. Project work will be focused on preliminary design evaluation, coordinating closely with the Business Development and Finance teams. Director of Procurement – AES Distributed Energy is currently seeking a Procurement Director to manage the acquisition of goods and services required for Solar PV project development, construction and operations, the administrative purchasing process and the process of reconciliation of the billing of suppliers and subcontractors, contract negotiations, supply chain, and logistics. The Procurement Director will ensure compliance with corporate processes, cost-effective and efficient Solar PV procurement, and the execution of strategies to achieve the objectives for rapid growth and deployment. MV/HV Engineer – AES Distributed Energy is seeking an experienced Medium Voltage and High Voltage Engineer to coordinate interconnection and substation designs for Solar PV and integrated Energy Storage projects, working closely with the Engineering and Construction team. The MV/HV Engineer will be responsible for conceptual design development detailed design reviews, preliminary studies, permitting and procurement support for the MV and HV components of solar PV and battery storage projects in development, construction and operation. Responsibilities include conceptual design development for substations and interconnections (2-100MVA, 15-230kV), detailed design reviews, coordination of design consultants, protection strategy, procurement and bidding support for major equipment, on-site commissioning support, punch list development, and performance testing plans. The position is in Boulder, CO, and may include up to 25% travel to project locations and partner offices. Community Solar Specialist – The Community Solar Specialist role within the Business Development group will be responsible for managing all aspects of community solar projects including originating projects through channel partners, contract negotiations with channel partners and third-party vendors, financial modeling, market analysis, and contract support. Senior Project Finance Manager – The Senior Project Finance Manager will report to the CFO of AES Distributed Energy and will have responsibility for financial transactions, capital raises, and project and corporate-level financial modeling.  The job is located in Boulder, CO and the candidate will be expected to relocate immediately if not currently living in the area.  The position will manage analysts who will assist with project fundings and financial modeling.  The Manager will work closely with the Business Development team to quickly price opportunities and provide feedback to our development partners.  The Senior Project Finance Manager will work with the CFO to develop and build complex financial models incorporating debt, tax equity, and permanent equity financing to evaluate project economics and financing alternatives.  The candidate will be expected to help develop relationships with capital providers, originate a full range of financing products and support the CFO in term sheet and financing documentation negotiation.  It is expected that the Financial Manager is able to lead a team of attorneys and AES employees in negotiations with potential equity investors and debt providers. Project Estimator – AES Distributed Energy is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support the development, construction, and operation of solar PV and grid-scale battery storage facilities from 2MW to 250MW in size. This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating all AES DE solar budgets for solar and energy storage technologies for all countries where AES operates.
