Electrical Operations Technician – AES Distributed Energy (DE) is seeking two Electrical Operations Technicians to support its growing portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) solar facilities throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The key responsibilities of this position include monitoring daily operational performance of the MA/RI solar facilities; Planning and performing preventative & corrective maintenance on PV solar equipment; Based out of your home, travel to solar facilities to perform preventative and corrective maintenance; and Coordinating and managing contractors engaged to support the maintenance activities. The successful candidates will have a depth of experience in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of AC and DC electrical systems of varying types and voltages with a strong preference for candidates with experience working with PV solar and Battery Energy Storage systems. Paralegal – AES Distributed Energy is currently seeking a paralegal to join the company in its Boulder, CO office. This individual will be responsible for providing primary legal support to a busy in-house legal department. Essential functions of the position include, but, are not limited to forming and maintaining legal entities, drafting minutes, resolutions, organizational documents, and state filings. Prepare typical corporate governance matters and related deliverables including standard corporate resolutions, certificates, operating agreements, and membership interest certificates. EPC Project Manager – AES DE is seeking an EPC Project Manager to oversee commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic solar projects through development, construction, commissioning, and turnover to Operations. The successful candidate will assist in due diligence on potential project acquisitions, define EPC scopes of work for projects nearing construction, and plan and track progress on active construction projects. This position will be based in Boulder, CO and report to the Director of Engineering and Construction. Community Solar Specialist – The Community Solar Specialist role within the Business Development group will be responsible for managing all aspects of community solar projects including originating projects through channel partners, contract negotiations with channel partners and third-party vendors, financial modeling, market analysis, and contract support. The Community Solar Specialist will work with the AES DE acquisition, origination/development, legal, and project finance departments, as well as external parties, to execute on a strategy to maximize the value and minimize the risk of AES DE community solar projects. Associate General Counsel – The Associate General Counsel for US Renewables has the primary responsibility of leading a team of legal professionals that supports dynamic and growing businesses in developing, acquiring, constructing, owning and operating distributed solar, solar plus storage, and other renewable energy projects throughout the United States. The position works closely with senior management. Primary responsibilities include attending to all aspects and issues related to renewable project development and financing, with a special focus on solar/solar plus storage. Project Engineer – AES Distributed Energy is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to coordinate Solar PV and integrated Energy Storage (BESS) engineering and technical support activities, working closely with the Business Development team and Construction team in the US and other AES markets to qualify, evaluate and support projects through their life-cycle. The Project Engineer will be responsible for solar PV and battery storage projects in late-stage development, construction, and operation. Senior Project Finance Manager – The Senior Project Finance Manager will report to the CFO of AES Distributed Energy and will have responsibility for financial transactions, capital raises, and project and corporate-level financial modeling. The job is located in Boulder, CO and the candidate will be expected to relocate immediately if not currently living in the area. The position will manage analysts who will assist with project fundings and financial modeling. The Manager will work closely with the Business Development team to quickly price opportunities and provide feedback to our development partners. The Senior Project Finance Manager will work with the CFO to develop and build complex financial models incorporating debt, tax equity, and permanent equity financing to evaluate project economics and financing alternatives. The candidate will be expected to help develop relationships with capital providers, originate a full range of financing products and support the CFO in term sheet and financing documentation negotiation. Project Estimator – AES Distributed Energy is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to support the development, construction, and operation of solar PV and grid-scale battery storage facilities from 2MW to 250MW in size. This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating all AES DE solar budgets for solar and energy storage technologies for all countries where AES operates. The successful candidate will have experience in solar and energy storage. The position will operate in a very dynamic environment.
